June was a month full of colorful people, places, and things.
This month was about new experiences. I threw my first launch party. I wrote and published my first article on Founded Magazine. I started skateboarding :)
I have been working really hard on projects for my clients and love how they continually challenge me. I feel like I am always learning how to work smarter so that I can keep taking on more responsibilities and I am thrilled to be a part of such fabulous businesses. Working with the people I do always makes for a colorful time!
I was inspired to try my hand at skateboarding after starting to work with Moshun. Over the past six months, I have been spending a lot of time around skateboarders, skate parks, and people who make skateboards while working on projects for the start-up. So, after nearly three decades of being fully convinced that stepping on a skateboard would be my death, here I am! And I am still in one piece.
I’ve definitely got a long way to go before I am shredding with all of the people who got me interested in skating but riding my beautiful Sanford Shapes board has definitely got me motivated!
Tam Ashworth of Isari Flower Studio + Event Design is always taking me on fun field trips. This month is was to The Knot Pro party at Liberty Station. It was a super fun evening and I got to catch up with some of my favorite wedding industry professionals: Stacey of Beauty by Stacey, Michael of Snake Oil Cocktail Co., Shane of Shane and Lauren Photography.
Things got super official over here when my business cards arrived!! Jessica of Sable and Snow took my logo and made it SHINE! She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I hope we get to collab on something in the near future.
I also put my thinking cap on and put my brain on overdrive when I started writing articles for Founded Magazine. It has been years since I have composed anything of substance since finishing my Master’s thesis in 2010 so this was a great opportunity to start practicing that craft again. I am really excited to be a regular contributor to the online magazine. Be sure to check it out and be inspired!
