Last month was about planning ahead. It was about putting together a killer plan to execute. It was about getting the right players in place. The summer has some exciting things happening for some of my clients but launching new products and services is no joke! This shit takes time and effort! And it requires being super organized; especially when you are overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
So, needless to say, May came and went. I wore lots of different hats – project manager, PR rep, event coordinator, graphic designer – in order to knock things off of my epic to do list but I made it through with enough time to still have a little fun :)
I took some of my fabulous mom friends to the Nourish event at Ollie + Me. Cheri (the owner) is the mama-bird that everyone needs to have in their life! She hosted a wonderful event complete with mini photo-shoots, hair styling, treats, and…of course…beautiful friends!
Lately my partner in crime has been my girl Kelsey, owner and fellow girl-boss of Big Dipper Marketing. We met last fall while working at a tech start-up and became fast friends. Now that we are both out and doing our own thing, we have been able strengthen our friendship by field tripping to creative events together. We hit up both of our favorites last month: Collaborative Thread and Creative Mornings.
And, obviously, I found some time to create. Actually, all of the pieces I sewed this month were for family members so it was more “Is it done yet?” than free play. Even projects that are commissioned still seem to satisfy my creative needs.
